Domino's says like-for-like sales up 11 per cent

British pizza chain Domino's Pizza UK & Irl Plc said on Tuesday its like-for-like sales were up 11.0 per cent in the first six weeks of 2008, down from 14.7 per cent over the whole of last year.

LONDON: British pizza chain Domino's Pizza UK & Irl Plc said on Tuesday its like-for-like sales were up 11.0 per cent in the first six weeks of 2008, down from 14.7 per cent over the whole of last year.

The company, which has over 500 stores, also said in a statement pretax profit was 33.1 per cent higher at 18.7 million pounds ($36.46 million) for the year to end December, just ahead of analyst forecasts of 18.3 million.
