Deutsche Bank posts net profit of 1.2 billion euros

Germany's biggest bank, Deutsche Bank, posted on Tuesday a second-quarter net profit of 1.2 billion euros (1.56 billion dollars), up from 1.1 billion in the same period a year earlier.

FRANKFURT: Germany's biggest bank, Deutsche Bank, posted on Tuesday a second-quarter net profit of 1.2 billion euros (1.56 billion dollars), up from 1.1 billion in the same period a year earlier.

"This demonstrates the strength of our diversified business portfolio," a statement quoted bank chairman Josef Ackermann as saying.
