PARIS: Capgemini raised its 2008 revenue growth goal on Thursday after reporting a forecast-beating 23.4% rise in first-half operating profit.

CEO Paul Hermelin said the group was more optimistic about growth prospects for this year, as it had not seen signs of a slowdown in its markets and as clients in the financial sector showed good resilience to the current crisis.

Capgemini said it now expected 2008 like-for-like sales growth of 4-5% against previous guidance of 2-5% growth.
