The 35-year-old wrestler, whose real name is Marcel Barthel, was reportedly charged with battery. The booking information noted that the bond was set at $1,000.
Orange County includes Orlando, home to the WWE Performance Center, where many WWE talents train and perform.
Shortly after reports of the arrest surfaced online, PWInsider confirmed that Kaiser had been released after posting bail.
What led to Ludwig Kaiser’s arrest
As speculation surrounding the arrest spread online, particularly on social media, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp addressed rumors regarding the nature of the case.
In a follow-up post, he added: “Kaiser was bonded out this evening.”
According to Slam Wrestling, the incident may have stemmed from an altercation involving ‘another male’ at a restaurant, though additional details surrounding the alleged confrontation were not immediately available.
Kaiser has recently appeared under a mask portraying El Grande Americano following Chad Gable’s injury storyline in WWE programming.
He is currently scheduled to face Gable in a mask-vs.-mask match at AAA Noche De Los Grandes on May 30 in Monterrey, Mexico.
