This is the second heat warning for Toronto in just two weeks, as per the report.On June 23, Toronto hit 36°C — the highest temperature in 10 years — during another heatwave. During that heatwave, there were 42 visits to the emergency room in Toronto for heat-related health issues, as per the Toronto Public Health.

This weekend's heat warning affects not just Toronto, but a large part of southern Ontario.Other cities included in the heat alert are Hamilton, Mississauga, Brampton, Newmarket, Burlington, Niagara Falls, Barrie, London, and Kitchener-Waterloo, according to the report by CP24.
Environment Canada says to watch out for early signs of heat exhaustion. These include feeling dizzy, nauseous, confused, or having red and hot skin. If someone shows signs of heat stroke, call 911 right away. In response, Hamilton is opening “cool places” for people to go and get out of the heat, as per the report by Hamilton medical officer of health news release.
