Stewart Friesen, a veteran of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and renowned dirt-track specialist, continues to show remarkable resilience after a terrifying crash on Monday. The incident occurred during a Super DIRTcar Series race in Drummondville, Quebec, leaving fans stunned.

The 42-year-old driver lost control entering Turns 3 and 4 , slamming into a tire barrier. His dirt modified car went airborne, flipped over the outside retaining wall, and landed back on the track - where it was hit by several oncoming cars.

There’s no official update on any injuries yet, but Friesen’s team confirmed he is 'alert and talking' and is currently being evaluated at a local hospital following the crash.

With four career wins and four top-ten finishes this season, Friesen currently holds 13th place in the points standings and has secured a playoff spot thanks to his earlier victory at Michigan International Speedway.

Friesen, a Canadian-American born in 1983, has amassed four Truck Series wins over a decade behind the wheel of the No. 52 Toyota for Halmar Friesen Racing, including a dramatic victory in Michigan in June that ended a 72-race drought.
