Neil Young scraps Love Earth European tour, says ‘I have decided to take a break’

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Neil Young has canceled his scheduled 2026 tour dates in the UK and Europe with the Chrome Hearts. Neil Young's tour cancellation was announced on his website, where he apologized to the fans and wrote on Friday, February 6 “this is not the time.”

In the message titled “A message from Neil,” he explained the tour cancellation: “I have decided to take a break and will not be touring Europe this time,” the message begins. “Thanks to everyone who bought tickets. I’m sorry to let you down, but this is not the time. I do love playing LIVE and being with you and the Chrome Hearts.”

The tour, billed as the Love Earth European run, was scheduled to kick off on June 19 in Manchester, England, and wrap up on July 26 in Udine, Italy. The 13-date trek through the U.K. and Europe was set to feature Elvis Costello and the Imposters as the opening act on select dates.


Young formed the Chrome Hearts in September 2024 at Farm Aid in Saratoga Springs, New York, after canceling a previously planned tour with Crazy Horse. At the time, Young cited illness within the band as the reason for the change.
