Canada will have several strong medal opportunities on Saturday, February 14, as the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games enter their second weekend. From freestyle skiing and speed skating to hockey and curling, it shapes up as a pivotal day for Team Canada.

Early morning games

Action begins at 3:05 a.m. ET with women’s curling, where Team Homan faces Great Britain before returning at 1:05 p.m. ET to meet Switzerland. In between, Team Jacobs puts its unbeaten record on the line against Switzerland at 8:05 a.m. ET, as per the Team Canada match schedule.

At 6:00 a.m. ET, Canada competes in the women’s 4×7.5km cross-country relay, an Olympic first at this distance after the equalization of men’s and women’s events. Alison Mackie, Jasmine Drolet, Liliane Gagnon, and Sonjaa Schmidt will look to build on Mackie’s standout eighth-place finish earlier in the Games.

The women’s 7.5km biathlon sprint follows at 8:45 a.m. ET, with Shilo Rousseau, Nadia Moser, Pascale Paradis, and Benita Peiffer racing for pursuit qualification.

Morning to midday

One of Canada’s best gold prospects comes at 10:00 a.m. ET in the women’s team pursuit (long track speed skating). Reigning Olympic champions Ivanie Blondin, Valérie Maltais, and Isabelle Weidemann begin their title defence in the quarterfinals, aiming to advance among the top four.

Afternoon

Freestyle skiing opens its first Olympic women’s dual moguls event at 4:30 a.m. ET, with medal rounds before 6:00 a.m. ET, featuring Maïa Schwinghammer and teammates. Later, at 1:30 p.m. ET, women’s big air qualification gets underway, where Megan Oldham begins her bid for a second medal after slopestyle bronze.
