With a net worth estimated at $6.97 million, Carney's wealth is a reflection of his distinguished career in both the private and public sectors.

Born in Fort Smith, Northwest Territories, and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Carney's academic credentials are impressive.

He graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University in 1988 and earned both a master's degree and a doctorate in economics from the University of Oxford.
