Dillon Brooks accused of trying to injure Steph Curry in Houston Rockets versus Golden State Warriors Game 3
Dillon Brooks faced accusations of targeting Steph Curry's injured thumb during Game 4 between the Rockets and Warriors, overshadowing Golden State's victory. The incident occurred in the fourth quarter when Brooks appeared to swipe at Curry's ban...

Warriors were without their star player Jimmy Butler, who is carrying a glute injury. He will in all probability miss their Game 4 too. Curry will have a heavier workload in the absence of Butler and with his right arm injured it will not be an easy task against the Rockets. Curry has had a thumb injury since January 2025.
Curry was on the court in Game 3 for 40 minutes and his 36 points were the maximum in Warriors 104 against Rockets who managed to grab only 93 points to lose the game.
However, in the fourth quarter when the Warriors were trailing 74-77, the altercation between Curry and Brooks stole the limelight. Curry, on the attack for Warriors crossed up Brooks to launch a three-pointer. But as soon as the ball left Curry's hand, Brooks tried to check him and took a swipe at his bandaged right hand. But Brooks was not successful in preventing Curry from scoring the three points.
Soon, the video started circulating on social media, leading to a massive debate on what was seen as an act of gamesmanship. Many social media users targeted Brooks, accusing him of trying injure Brooks.
