Hockey Canada made an official announcement that Everett Silvertips head coach Dennis Williams would be replacing Dave Cameron. Wlliams helped Canada win a gold medal this past summer in his lone tournament with the junior club. He has earlier served as one of the assistant coaches on Cameron's Staff for 2022 competition.

Williams, a Stratford native brings with him years of coaching experience and proven success - for Canada’s World Junoir team. No coach has won as many games as William has in the NHL ever since he took over as the Silvertips head bench boss in 2017-2018. His past experience with the 2022 squad will certainly benefit many players such as Connor Bedard, Olen Zellweger, and Logan Stankoven to return for the 2023 edition with eyes locked on winning by reaching the top spot and becoming champions again.
