Veteran forward Corey Perry delivered a standout performance on Tuesday (May 27) night as the Edmonton Oilers beat the Dallas Stars 4-1 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Final. With this win, the Oilers now lead the best-of-seven series 3-1 and are just one win away from reaching the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2006.

Perry’s key moment came in the second period. With the game tied 1-1, the Oilers went on a power play. Perry positioned himself in front of the net and tapped in the go-ahead goal after a quick pass from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. The goal was Perry’s sixth of the playoffs, making him the fifth player aged 40 or older to score in a conference final.

Leon Draisaitl opened the scoring in the first period with a power-play goal for the Oilers. He also registered an assist, continuing his strong postseason performance. Connor McDavid and Nugent-Hopkins, two of the top Edmonton Oilers players, each recorded two assists. Nugent-Hopkins has now had four straight multi-point games in the series.

Goaltender Stuart Skinner was solid in the net for Edmonton, stopping 28 shots and keeping the Dallas Stars at bay after their only goal in the second period, scored by Jason Robertson on a power play.

With just under two minutes left in regulation, the Stars pulled their goalie to close the gap. But the Oilers sealed the win with two empty-net goals, one from Mattias Janmark and another from Adam Henrique.

The score of the Oilers game ended 4-1, giving Edmonton fans much to cheer about. The Oilers' game today showed dominance both offensively and defensively, especially in special teams. The Edmonton score now reflects their momentum in the series as they prepare to face Dallas again in Game 5.
