Canada Stain Remover Recall: Over 43,000 units of the Angry Orange Stain Removers have been recalled across Canada. The recall was announced by Health Canada due to a microbial hazard that could cause a risk of serious infection.

“Recalled products can contain bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an environmental organism found widely in soil and water," Canada’s federal department for health said in its notice. “The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes, or through a break in the skin,” it further stated.

Who all are at risk?

People with healthy immune systems are not usually affected by the bacteria; however, those with “weakened immune systems or external medical devices who are exposed to Pseudomonas aeruginosa face a risk of serious infection that may require medical treatment,” the notice said.

It is a joint recall with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (U.S. CPSC) and Thrasio, LLC, and impacts two scents of the stain remover.

Affected products

  • 24oz Enzyme Citrus Stain Remover, Orange Twist, UPC 850039953002
  • 24oz Enzyme Citrus Stain Remover, Fresh Clean, UPC 850039953033

When were the products sold?

According to the notice, the recalled products were sold from March 2019 to Dec. 2025 and have an expiration date before 10-07-2027. As of January 21, 2026, the company has not received any reports of incidents or illness in Canada, according to the notice. In the United States, the company has not received any reports of incidents or illness.

How can consumers seek a refund?

The health department has asked consumers to immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Thrasio, LLC, for a refund. “To receive a refund, consumers should take a picture of the product with “recalled” and their initials written in marker and email the photo to productrecall@angryorange.com,” the notice reads.

“Consumers should then dispose of the product in its container with household trash. Do not empty the product prior to disposal. Do not attempt to recycle the product bottle,” the notice said.
