Beyonce has ruled the pop music world for several years. No one can deny the fact that Beyonce's music has influenced several people. Notably, millions of copies of her albums have been sold. She has also won a large number of awards for her music. Beyonce has bagged 28 Grammy awards till now.

Despite this, her new album Renaissance could not find many takers. The album did not witness a mega sales, which Beyonce's fans may have expected.

Several questions are also being raised about her popularity lately. It is also notable that Beyonce topped the chart at Billboard in 2008 for her song 'Single Ladies' for the last time.

Interestingly, the song "Break My Soul," from Beyonce's latest album Renaissance, could reach only the 7th spot on the Billboard tally. "Break My Soul" trailed singles from singers like Jack Harlow and Lizzo.

However, the 40-year-old star has now started to release albums as conceptual art. She had taken a break of around six years recently. This has increased her cultural clout more than her commercial gains.

Former Billboard journalist Tatiana Cirisano has called Renaissance the best music experiment in real-time. She said Beyonce's latest album is culturally influential as it is rooting for dance music. But Cristiano stated that she was unsure whether to call this album a commercial success.

According to a forecast by Hits Daily Double, a music blog would sell around 325,000 album copies of Renaissance in the first week. If it happens, Renaissance will become the best-selling album of the week.

Although the number seems high, it is way less than the recent numbers recorded by singers like Lady Gaya, Taylor Swift and Adele. Still, the cultural influence of Beyonce remains intact as the masses are lured towards Renaissance.
