On April 25, at approximately 3:55 a.m., RCMP officers, along with Emergency Health Services (EHS) and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency (HRFE), were called to a structure fire at a residence on Manor Drive, Nova Scotia RCMP said in a news release.
Upon arrival, officers attempted to enter the home but were unable to do so due to intense smoke conditions. HRFE crews arrived on scene, began suppressing the fire, and entered the residence.
Three adults were removed from the home. Despite lifesaving efforts by EHS and HRFE, all three individuals, a 43-year-old man, a 38-year-old woman, and a 73-year-old woman, succumbed to their injuries, the news release stated.
Investigators from the Office of the Fire Marshal and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service attended the property. The investigation remains ongoing in collaboration with partner agencies. In the release, authorities expressed condolences, stating their “thoughts are with the victims’ loved ones during this difficult time.”
