The New York Stock Exchange has reopened to traders after having been shut down for two months. Gov. Andrew Cuomo rang the opening bell. Stocks opened sharply higher as hopes for economic recovery overshadow worries over the coronavirus pandemic. The S&P 500 jumped to nearly a 3-month high, recovering much of its post-pandemic losses.
