Trade spats: WTO disputes since 1995

In more than two decades of the World Trade Organization's existence, more than 500 disputes have been raised by members. In contrast, its predecessor, the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade ( GATT) saw 300 in 47 years. As is clear from the numbers, the US leads in the number of complaints filed and faced.
