HYDERABAD: Infrastructure firm IVRCL has on Monday announced securing a turnkey EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract worth Saudi Arabian Riyals 2.196 billion (approximately Rs 3,624 crore) from Saudi Arabia’s ministry of interior.

The first Saudi Arabia project for the Hyderabad headquartered construction firm involves designing and constructing prefabricated residential complexes for border guards, apart from installing, testing and commissioning ancillary buildings.

The projects, involving execution of civil, structural, architectural, electrical, sanitary, air-conditioning and mechanical works, will come up in three locations of Dharan Al Janoube, Al Qahmah and Asir Region (ABHA) to be completed in 36 months.

In a statement, IVRCL said 513 buildings will be constructed in all in the three regions with a total of 53.88 lakh square feet. The buildings include apartments, villas, administrative buildings, schools, mosques, recreation buildings, fire-fighting buildings, clinics, shopping centres, operations and maintenance buildings, warehouses, water treatment buildings, fuel stations and sewage treatment buildings.
