Rafael Nadal's business interests spans across sectors
Rafael Nadal is one of the greatest tennis players of all time. But his success extends beyond the court, with business interests spanning sports education, hospitality, restaurants, technology and real estate. One of his notable ventures is the Rafa Nadal Academy, which he launched in 2016 to give back to the sport. Based in Mallorca, Spain, the academy combines tennis training with education and has expanded its reach through international locations and programmes. Nine years after its launch, Nadal sold a 44.9% stake in the academy to investment firm GPF Capital. The transaction was associated with approximately €94 million in reported profits for Nadal's investment holding company, Aspemir. He retained a 55.1% stake, allowing him to maintain majority ownership of the business.

Rafael Nadal's investments

The 22-time Grand Slam champion has built a diversified business portfolio over a career spanning more than two decades. Alongside prize money and endorsement deals, his business ventures and investments have contributed to his estimated net worth of $220 million to $250 million, according to published estimates.

Nada entered the hospitality sector through a partnership with Meliá Hotels International to launch ZEL Hotels. The lifestyle hotel brand draws inspiration from Mediterranean culture and has expanded into destinations including Mallorca, Costa Brava, Punta Cana and Fuerteventura. The venture allows Nadal to leverage his international profile in the tourism and hospitality industry, extending his business interests beyond professional tennis.

He has also invested in TATEL, a Spanish restaurant group known for its upscale dining experience and celebrity associations. The business forms another part of his efforts to build commercial ventures outside sport.

In 2026, Aspemir acquired a minority stake in Ocean Platform Marinas (OPM), a Spain-based platform focused on the management and development of marinas for large yachts. The investment adds another sector to Nadal's portfolio, linking him to the market for premium waterfront infrastructure and superyacht facilities. The financial terms of the deal and the precise size of Aspemir's stake have not been publicly disclosed.

Nadal has substantial exposure to real estate as well. He owns 33.3 percent stake in investment firm Mabel Capital which deals in luxury property, entertainment and other businesses.
