Ferrari has introduced its latest limited edition supercar, the F80, which features technology inspired by Endurance motor racing and Formula 1. Despite its high base price of 3.6 million euros ($3.9 million), the car is already sold out.

The hybrid F80, known for its butterfly doors, is part of Ferrari's strategy to keep its high-end customers engaged. As Ferrari Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Enrico Galliera stated, "It's a car we hope would make history in coming years."

Ferrari releases these special supercars once a decade, with the F80 following 2013's LaFerrari. Limited to 799 units, the F80 has received three times more requests than its production capacity.

"We'll have to say no to people who do not expect it from us," Galliera noted. Each car features a six-cylinder three-litre hybrid engine with 1,200 horsepower, advanced suspension, and 3D printed metal parts.

The F80's design includes seats that are not aligned, with the driver's seat slightly ahead. The engine is based on Ferrari's World Endurance Championship technology and includes aspects from Formula 1, achieving a top speed of 350 km per hour.

Deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter of next year, with production lasting until 2027, coinciding with Ferrari's 80th anniversary.
