Davos 2023: IMF's Georgieva sees global growth decelerating to 2.7% in 2023

Georgieva said the three very significant challenges were the Russia-Ukraine war, the cost of living crisis and interest rates at a level unseen in decades. The world must manage the adjustment to more security of supply smartly, she added.

International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said on Tuesday that global economic growth was expected to further decelerate in 2023 to around 2.7% but that it was also seen bottoming out this year.

Georgieva said the three very significant challenges were the Russia-Ukraine war, the cost of living crisis and interest rates at a level unseen in decades. The world must manage the adjustment to more security of supply smartly, she added.
