Dassault Systemes acquires controlling stake in German firm

Dassault had announced plans to acquire a stake in the Munich-based RTT, which will include its software division and other solutions and its marketing consulting services.

Dassault Systemes acquires controlling stake in German firm
NEW DELHI: French design software solutions firm Dassault Systemes today announced completion of acquisition of a controlling stake in Germany-based Realtime Technology AG (RTT) for about 151 million euro (around Rs 1,265 crore).

Last year in December, Dassault had announced plans to acquire a stake in the Munich-based RTT, which will include its software division and other solutions and its marketing consulting services.

Dassault Systemes in a statement announced "the completion of the acquisition of an 84 per cent controlling interest in RTT, initially announced on December 5, 2013, for approximately 151 million Euro."

The acquisition also includes RTT subsidiary Bunkspeed, which provides powerful and intuitive rendering software, it added.

RTT is a leading provider of professional high-end 3D visualisation software, marketing solutions and computer generated imagery services, benefiting from the development of the fast-growing marketing automation market, it said.

RTT's customers includes Hugo Boss, Adidas, Airbus, Audi, BMW, Daimler, Electrolux, Eurocopter, Ferrari, General Motors, Harley-Davidson, Nissan, Porsche, Toyota, Volkswagen, etc, Dassault added.
