Atlantia to sell up to 30 pct stake in Rome airports: CEO

Atlantia, which controls toll road concession group Autostrade per l'Italia, owns around 96 per cent of ADR.

MILAN: Italian motorway company Atlantia aims to sell a stake of up to 30 per cent in airport operator Aeroporti di Roma (ADR), the group's chief executive said in an interview in an Italian newspaper on Thursday.

"I confirm we are looking to sell up to 30 per cent of ADR to raise the resources to grow globally, not to increase the shareholders' dividend," Giovanni Castellucci told La Repubblica.

He said the sale would happen before the end of next spring "but only if we find partners ready to recognise the true value of ADR.

Atlantia, which controls toll road concession group Autostrade per l'Italia, owns around 96 per cent of ADR.

Castellucci said there were no plans to sell stakes in Autostrade.
