BT signs agreement with PepsiCo
Under the terms of the contract, BT will manage PepsiCo International’s local and wide area network infrastructure across more than 900 locations in more than 60 countries.
Under the terms of the contract, BT will manage PepsiCo International’s local and wide area network infrastructure across more than 900 locations in more than 60 countries. In addition, BT will migrate these services to a state-of-the-art, high-speed, IP-based global MPLS infrastructure.
PepsiCo expects to benefit from greater cost efficiency and control as BT provides a standardised, flexible and future-proof communications infrastructure platform with enhanced service levels to users. PepsiCo gains the ability to strategically leverage the solution to drive competitive strength, optimization in business processes and operations, and innovation, capability and agility. The contract is designed to ensure compliance to policy, regulatory and security standards and maximize PepsiCo’s use of global assets across its broad portfolio of brands.
PepsiCo also signed a global IT services contract with BT’s strategic partner HP to enable PepsiCo to consolidate its technology infrastructure from a distributed server environment into three global HP data centres.
