BP says group will not quit US over oil disaster
New BP chief executive Bob Dudley said that the British group would not quit the United States over the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster that had "threatened the very existence" of the energy giant.
"I can promise you that I did not become chief executive of BP in order to walk away from the US. BP will not be quitting America," Dudley told British business leaders here.
Dudley also admitted that the Gulf of Mexico oil spill had "threatened the very existence of our company."
