BNP Paribas says has no outstanding CCC dealings

French bank BNP Paribas said on Friday it has closed its positions relating to troubled Carlyle Group affiliate Carlyle Capital Corp and has no further dealings to resolve with the Amsterdam-listed vehicle.

LONDON: French bank BNP Paribas said on Friday it has closed its positions relating to troubled Carlyle Group affiliate Carlyle Capital Corp and has no further dealings to resolve with the Amsterdam-listed vehicle.

"We no longer have ongoing transactions with Carlyle Capital," said a spokesman for the bank, which was one of CCC's lenders.

CCC has defaulted on about $16.6 billion of debt and expects its lenders to seize remaining assets as the global credit crunch tightens around leveraged investors.

The Carlyle Group said in a statement on Thursday that as CCC was unable to reach a deal with lenders it expected those lenders to take possession of the fund's remaining residential mortgage-backed securities assets.

Some banks have already sold the assets.
