Sabrina Carpenter urges people to share the knowledge and strength they gain through life

Success can put a person in a strange position. The experiences that once felt private, uncertainty, rejection, mistakes and difficult transitions, can eventually become lessons that other people desperately need. For Sabrina Carpenter, growing up in the public eye has meant navigating that transformation while building a career that stretches across music, television and film.

The quote reflects an idea that knowledge becomes more valuable when it is passed on, particularly when someone else may be struggling with the same problem you have already survived.

Quote of the day by Sabrina Carpenter

“There are a lot of things that people go through, and maybe they don’t know how to get through it, and maybe you do, and if you have some sort of knowledge or power, share with the world.”

Who is Sabrina Carpenter?

Sabrina Carpenter is an American singer, songwriter and actress who began performing professionally as a teenager. Born on May 11, 1999, in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Carpenter first gained widespread recognition through Disney Channel's Girl Meets World, in which she played Maya Hart from 2014 to 2017.

Her early career established her as a young television performer, but music gradually became an equally important part of her identity. She signed with Hollywood Records and released her debut studio album, Eyes Wide Open, in 2015.

Over the following years, Carpenter released albums including Evolution (2016), Singular: Act I (2018), Singular: Act II (2019), Emails I Can't Send (2022) and Short n' Sweet (2024).

Carpenter's career changed dramatically with the success of “Espresso” in 2024. The song became a major international hit and helped establish her as one of pop's most prominent new stars.

Her follow-up single “Please Please Please” further strengthened that momentum, while "Short n' Sweet" became her first album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

In 2025, she received major Grammy recognition, winning Best Pop Vocal Album for Short n' Sweet and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Espresso.”

What does Carpenter's quote mean?

At its heart, Carpenter's statement is about turning personal experience into something useful for somebody else.

Everyone accumulates knowledge through experience. Sometimes it comes from formal education; sometimes it comes from failure, heartbreak, difficult decisions or simply making mistakes and discovering what does not work.

The word “power” in the quote does not necessarily have to mean fame or authority. It can mean influence, opportunity, expertise, confidence or simply having the ability to help.

Someone who has learned how to cope with a difficult period may be able to guide another person through something similar. Someone who has developed a particular skill can teach it. Someone who has made a mistake can help another person avoid repeating it.

The quote therefore encourages generosity with experience. It also carries an implicit responsibility. Knowledge can become useful beyond the person who acquired it when it is shared thoughtfully and responsibly.
