Queensland Horror: Wife charged with domestic violence murder after allegedly mowing down husband with car; witnesses reveal chilling details

A horrific incident surfaced in Queensland where a woman is facing a domestic violence murder charge for allegedly hitting and killing her husband with a station wagon just metres from their family home west of Brisbane. The victim was identified as Bradley Bullock, 50, and his wife, Lacey-Jay Bullock, is set to face court charges for his murder.

The incident occurred on Sunday (September 27, 2026) when Bullock was allegedly mowed down by a Holden Commodore driven by his wife outside their home on Stoneywood Street in Fernvale just before 6pm, according to 9News. Following the incident, neighbour Kyle Wilford, who witnessed the scene, rushed to Mr Bullock’s aid as he returned home.

“There was a lot of screaming, and that’s something that will resonate in my head for a while, unfortunately,” he said, as quoted by 9News. “There was no pulse. The amount of, unfortunately, damage that was done to him just wasn’t recoverable. "Despite efforts for his revival, paramedics failed to save him. Witnesses allegedly held down Lacey-Jay, Bullock’s wife, until police arrived. The incident took place just a few days after the couple celebrated their anniversary on a camping trip to Bribie Island a few days ago. Now, Bullock’s wife has been charged with domestic violence murder and disqualified for driving.

Witnesses reveal chilling details

Neighbours, who witnessed the scene, claimed that Bullock was trying to stop his wife from leaving in the car when she allegedly struck and killed him. Their adult son was home at the time and witnessed the incident.

Bullock’s daughter Layla told 9News, "He was a much-loved man by many." “He was a great father to us kids and a poppy to his grandkids,” she said. His other daughter Bethany wrote on Facebook: “We will never be the same again. I will always love you and miss you.” Lacey-Jay remains in custody to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Tuesday (September 29, 2026).
