Porsche SUV crashes into Sydney home, lands on bed. Police search for 2 people after incident
A tragic incident unfolded in Sydney’s south-west in the wee hours on Sunday morning, June 29, 2025, where a luxury SUV crashed into a home after being struck by an electricity transformer. Following the incident, police are searching for two people in connection with it, claiming that they fled the scene before officers arrived at the accident site, according to local media reports.

Emergency services were called to Evelyn Street in Macquarie Fields. Upon arrival, they discovered that a white Porsche Macan had struck an electricity transformer at about 4.20, according to local media reports. According to the investigation, after striking the transformer, the SUV ploughed through a fence and into the front wall of a single-story house, where it landed on the top of a bed.

Police carried out several checks of the home smashed by the car and confirmed that no one was home at the time when the accident occurred, and there are no reports of any injuries. "Enquiries are now underway to determine the cause of the crash and the identity of those involved," police said in a statement, SkyNews Australia reported.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a man lost his life after a car doing burnouts allegedly hit a group of people in the Hunter Valley region in NSW overnight.

Police launched a manhunt to nab the driver after a modified Ford Fairmont sedan was reportedly performing a burnout when it hit three people at a fire trail off Haul Road, Stockrington, 22 km from Kurri Kurri, at around midnight, 9 News reported. A 53-year-old man sustained critical injuries to his head and succumbed to them a short time later.

Two women, also allegedly hit by the car, left the scene before emergency services arrived. The car, which was allegedly involved in the accident, was later found burnt-out on McFarlane's Road in Chisolm at about 2.40am. The Ford has been seized and will undergo forensic examination.
