Actor Nicole Kidman has spoken publicly for the first time about her split, months after finalizing her divorce from country music star Keith Urban. Kidman, 58, addressed the separation during a wide-ranging interview with Variety published on March 11. The conversation covered her upcoming projects, including a sequel to Practical Magic and the Prime Video series Scarpetta, as well as her personal life over the past year.

When asked whether she is “doing all right” in the months since the couple separated, Kidman said she remains focused on moving forward. "I am, because I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good," she told the outlet.

Reflecting further on the transition, the Oscar-winning actor emphasized the importance of family. "What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that."

Kidman also made clear that she intends to keep many details private out of respect for those involved.

"Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect. I’m staying in a place of, 'We are a family,' and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women."

Kidman and Urban, both 58, first met in 2005 and married the following year. During their nearly two-decade-long marriage, they welcomed two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.

In January this year, the actor finalized her divorce from Urban after nearly 20 years of marriage. According to the settlement, Kidman was assigned as the primary parent to their two minor daughters, while Urban will have “parenting time” every other weekend unless otherwise stipulated, Fpx news reported.

Kidman initially filed for divorce in September last year and neither party received alimony, and child support was set at $0.
