A mystery Sydneysider has become $20 million richer after winning the Oz Lotto jackpot, but lottery officials are still searching for the lucky ticket holder. The winning ticket, purchased in Sydney, has yet to be claimed, leaving officials urging players to check their entries. The jackpot winner matched all seven numbers in Tuesday night’s draw, securing the entire $20 million prize.

The winning numbers for Oz Lotto draw 1655 were 21, 17, 43, 25, 12, 18, and 14, with supplementary numbers 15, 42, and 24, 9news.com.au reported. The largest win of this year was a $100 million prize claimed by a woman from south-west Sydney in February.

Officials are urging the holder of the winning ticket, purchased at Broadway Newsagency in Sydney, to contact The Lott on 131 868 to claim their life-changing prize.


According to 9news.com.au, since the purchaser isn’t a member of The Lott Members Club, officials have no way to reach them. As a result, the identity of the new multi-millionaire remains a mystery, and the winner is unaware of their life-changing fortune.

"It's possible this mystery winner is waking up and heading to work with no idea they've scored $20 million," The Lott's Khat McIntyre said, as quoted by 9news.com.au.

McIntyre also advised future players to register as members of The Lott to avoid situations where winners remain unidentified.

According to The Lott website, as quoted by news.com.au, ticket holders in New South Wales have up to six years to claim their winnings. After that period, any unclaimed prizes are forfeited and can no longer be paid out.
