The major shakeup comes after Maccas’ breakfast service underwent a review following supply issues and a widespread egg shortage in 2024, according to Sky News Australia. McDonald’s, in a statement to news.com.au, said the move was “good news for Aussie breakfast lovers”. “From today, all restaurants will officially serve breakfast until 11.30am,” a spokesperson said.
“Your go-to Macca’s brekkie faves are now hanging around a little longer, until 11:30am in restaurants. That’s more time to get your fix, plus something new and bold to try,” a statement to SkyNews.com.au read.
As a part of the new menu, delivery customers will be required to order breakfast items before 10.30 AM to avoid being cut off.
McDonald's launches Honey Sriracha Big Brekkie Range
The global fast food giant has also launched the limited-edition Honey Sriracha Big Brekkie Range across the country on Wednesday (February 12, 2026).
February 13 also marks the day when McDonald’s launched the Filet-o-Fish in 1962. The burger was added to the menu to boost sales during Lent because Catholics in Cincinnati, Ohio, wouldn't eat meat on Fridays. Sales surged as the burger, made with a patty of pollock, half a slice of cheese and tartar sauce, went global. In France, Spain and Belgium, the burger is named the McFish and has tomato sauce instead of tartar.
