Following the reports of a violent home invasion, police were called to a home on Ardennes Avenue in Edmondson Park just before 2 AM. They suggested that three armed men forcibly entered the property, where a 48-year-old man and his two children were inside. According to the Sky News report, the man was physically assaulted while one of his sons, aged 12, was threatened with a firearm. His younger son, aged 11, was not harmed. The trio fled the scene in an unknown vehicle after stealing multiple items, including jewellery.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and provided treatment to the father at the scene for minor facial injuries. NSW Police have established a crime scene and launched an investigation.
Meanwhile, in another incident, people were left traumatised after a dead body was discovered on a Gold Coast beach. Police arrived at the scene after locals found a deceased person on Sunday morning at Gold Coast's Palm Beach.
According to the Queensland Police, the Gold Coast Bulletin, they had been alerted by members of the public that a body had been located at the beach. Queensland Police told the Gold Coast Bulletin that people had alerted them after a body was found on the beach. The age and gender of the deceased person have not been revealed yet, but according to authorities, the discovery was made at about 5:40 AM.
