According to 9News website, ahead of landfall, the system lashed parts of Western Australia with heavy rain and damaging winds, producing gusts of 107 km/h at Carnarvon and 85 km/h at Shark Bay, Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Sarah Scully said.
Heavy rainfall totals show 132mm recorded at Gascoyne Junction, while Shark Bay has received 104mm.
Heavy rain continued across the Kimberley, where 122mm was recorded at Mount Winifred.
A severe weather warning remains in force today as the region braces for more heavy rain and strong winds, affecting the Central West, Central Wheatbelt, and parts of the Gascoyne district.
Authorities are continuing to monitor conditions closely as the severe weather system moves through the region, urging residents to stay informed and follow safety advice.
