Australian Stock Market continues positive run.
According to the ASX website, the top-performing stocks in this index were DRONESHIELD LIMITED and GOODMAN GROUP, up 9.00% and 8.25%, respectively.
Over the last five days, the index has gained 2.29% and is currently 3.51% off of its 52-week high. Meanwhile on Monday, the stock market witnessed a positive start to the week as the S&P/ASX 200 closed with a slight gain, adding 85.30 points, or 0.99%, to 8,706.70.
S&P/ASX 200: Top gainers and losers
The S&P/ASX 200 saw some strong performers today, led by DroneShield Limited (DRO), which rose 27 cents, or 9 per cent, to close at $3.27. Goodman Group (GMG) followed with an increase of $2.41, up 8.247 per cent to $31.63. Austal Limited (ASB) gained 42 cents, a 6.373 per cent lift, to $7.01. Pro Medicus Limited (PME) rose $9.87, up 4.439 per cent, to $232.17, while West African Resources Limited (WAF) added 11 cents, a 3.594 per cent increase, to finish at $3.17.
On the other hand, the market also recorded some declines. Eagers Automotive Limited (APE) slipped 70 cents, down 2.746 per cent, to $24.80. EVT Limited (EVT) fell 25 cents, a 1.873 per cent decrease, closing at $13.10. Capricorn Metals Ltd (CMM) dropped 26 cents, down 1.760 per cent, to $14.52. Perseus Mining Limited (PRU) lost 9 cents, a 1.563 per cent decline, to $5.67, while Megaport Limited (MP1) decreased 20 cents, down 1.551 per cent, to $12.70.
