According to the ASX website, the top-performing stocks in this index on Tuesday were Yancoal Australia Limited and AUB Group Limited, up 3.35% and 3.00% respectively. Over the last five days, the index has gained 0.50% and 5.15% year to date.
As of Tuesday at 4:50 pm (local time), the major ASX indices recorded modest gains. The S&P/ASX 20 rose from 4651.70 to 4668.10, finishing 0.4% higher. The S&P/ASX 50 also edged up, moving from 8164.30 to 8183.40, an increase of 0.2%. Similar progress was seen in the S&P/ASX 100, which lifted from 7115.30 to 7129.60, likewise up 0.2%.
Rounding out the broader market, the S&P/ASX 300 advanced from 8525.30 to 8538.30, posting a 0.2% rise.
ASX 200: Top gainers and losers
Among the top performers on the S&P/ASX 200, Yancoal Australia Limited (YAL) led the gains, with its share price rising to 5.550, an increase of 0.180 (3.352%). AUB Group Limited (AUB) also posted a solid result, finishing at 31.550 after a lift of 0.920 (3.003%). HomeCo Daily Needs REIT (HDN) traded higher at 1.400, gaining 0.040 (2.941%), while Computershare Limited (CPU) closed at 35.640, up 0.920 (2.649%). Rounding out the top five was Judo Capital Holdings Limited (JDO), which rose to 1.610, an improvement of 0.040 (2.547%).
On the decline side, Zip Co Limited (ZIP) recorded the sharpest fall, with its price dropping to 2.950, down -0.350 (-10.607%). Catapult Sports Ltd (CAT) also saw a notable decline, closing at 4.680 after a fall of -0.470 (-9.127%).
Guzman y Gomez Limited (GYG) traded lower at 22.220, decreasing by -1.010 (-4.348%), while DroneShield Limited (DRO) slipped to 1.880, down -0.085 (-4.326%). Completing the list of the biggest decliners, Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited (TLX) finished at 14.450, a reduction of -0.600 (-3.987%).
