AMCHAM appoints Atul Singh as Chairman

American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) in India on Friday appointed Atul Singh, the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Coca-Cola India, as the Chairman.

NEW DELHI: American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) in India on Friday appointed Atul Singh, the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Coca-Cola India, as the Chairman.

Managing Director of telecom giant AT&T Virat Bhatia and PriceWaterHouseCoopers (PWC) Director Shyamal Mukherjee have also been elected as the Vice-Chairman of AMCHAM India's Board of Directors, a release said.

Besides, President and CEO of GE India T P Chopra has been elected to the board for the year.

Addressing the 16the AGM of the chamber today, Minister of State for telecom and IT Jyotiraditya Scindia called for further participation of US Companies in inclusive and sustained growth of India by ensuring that every dollar invested was used for social reforms irrespective of rural urban and income inequality divide.

He said there was a need for India to sustain its high growth pattern over a longer period in order to maintain its economic momentum.
