PARIS: Air France and its Dutch partner KLM announced new increases in their fuel surcharges on Wednesday in the face of rising oil prices.

Air France said the surcharge would increase by two euros one way on domestic flights, four euros one way on medium-haul flights from France and 10 euros on long-haul flights from France.

Half the increase would be cancelled whenever oil prices stabilised below 110 dollars a barrel. The other half would be lifted when prices dropped below 105 dollar a barrel for sustained period of time.

Oil prices are currently in a range of 123-126 dollars a barrel. KLM meanwhile said its fuel surcharge would rise by four euros to 35 euros one way on European flights and 10 euros to 108 euros on intercontinental routes.
