ABB focusing on organic growth

ZURICH: Swiss engineering group wants to focus first of all on organic growth but it is still screening large and small acquisition targets, the group's interim chief executive said on Thursday. "It is clear at this stage it is most important to focus on organic growth opportunities," Interim Chief Executive Michel Demare told journalists on a conference call. Demare said acquisitions were still a topic at the group as ABB has money to invest. "We keep screening large and small targets," Demare said, adding the group would maintain its disciplined approach to buys. Demare also said the board was working on finding a new CEO and was looking both internally and externally.
