Zeeshan Siddique posts cryptic message days after father Baba Siddique's murder

Congress MLA Zeeshan Siddique on Friday wrote a cryptic post on social media platform X, just days after his father and NCP leader Baba Siddique was murdered in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

"Not all that is hidden sleeps, Nor all that is visible speaks," Zeeshan said in the post.



Zeeshan had a meeting with Maharashtra's deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday. During the meeting, Fadnavis informed Zeehan about the ongoing police investigation into the murder of his father.


The incident happened on October 12, when Baba was shot dead near his son's office in the Nirmal Nagar area of Bandra.

The police have made quick progress in the case, having arrested nine people so far. Five of these arrests were made on Friday following raids conducted in Panvel and Karjat, located in the neighbouring Raigad district.

"Fadnavis, who holds the home portfolio in the Eknath Shinde government, apprised the Bandra East MLA about the probe in the presence of Crime Branch officials," sources said.


The meeting aimed to keep Zeeshan informed about the developments in the investigation and the efforts being made to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Earlier on Thursday, Zeeshan had demanded justice for his family. He also appealed to not make his father's death political.

Meanwhile, a shooter of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed Baba Siddique was not a good man and had connections with India's most-wanted criminal Dawood Ibrahim.

Raju, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang but not involved in Baba Siddique's murder said, "There were charges against him under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). It is said that he was associated with Dawood, the man behind the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. When people get involved with such individuals, something is bound to happen. This is exactly what happened to Siddique," Raju claimed.
