Congress workers shouted slogans claiming that ethanol fuel was bringing down the mileage, damaging vehicles and impacting poor people.
Although only a hundred-odd people took part in the protest, the march is significant as the Maharashtra opposition believes that the ethanol issue has got a lot of traction among people who are unhappy with the rollout as it was allegedly damaging vehicle parts. On July 26, while holding a 'victory rally' to celebrate the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan as education minister, Uddhav Thackeray said they would be taking up the ethanol rollout issue after the NEET protests.
