Yellow alert sounded in Delhi under GRAP, restrictions to be imposed: CM Kejriwal

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his address on Tuesday said that as the Covid-19 positivity rate has been above 0.5% for the past few days, Level-I (Yellow alert) of the Graded Response Action Plan is being imposed.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his address on Tuesday said that as the Covid-19 positivity rate has been above 0.5% for the past few days, Level-I (Yellow alert) of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is being imposed.

He also said that a detailed order on restrictions to be implemented will be released soon.

The Chief Minister noted that the cases of Covid-19 being reported are mild in nature and that there is no increase in consumption of oxygen or use of ventilators despite the rise in cases. “We are 10 times more prepared than earlier to deal with the rise in Covid cases in Delhi,” he said.


The total number of cases of new Omicron variant of COVID-19 recorded in the national capital has mounted to 165, according to data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday. Amid the Omicron scare, Delhi recorded 331 fresh coronavirus cases, the highest single-day rise since June 9 and one death, on Monday, while the positivity rate mounted to 0.68 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department.
