With Union Cabinet recently approving setting up of Semiconductor ATMP unit in Assam, state cabinet on Friday expressed its gratitude to Prime minister Narendra Modi.

The state cabinet meeting on Friday stated, the pathbreaking decision which will usher a new era of industrial development in the region. This will also open vast opportunities of employment for youth.

State Cabinet in its meeting held on 1st march 2024 has resolved to place its sincere gratitude to PM Narendra Modi for this historical decision.


State Cabinet also expressed deep regards and gratitude to Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister, IT, Government of India.State Cabinet further took a resolution expressing its deep gratitude to N Chandrasekaran, Chairman Tata Sons and to Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd for their appreciable decision to invest 27,000 crore for semiconductor Unit in Jagiroad, Assam.

The cabinet approved a new Poultry Policy for an Atmanirbhar Assam .The State Cabinet has approved 'Policy for commercialisation of Poultry sector in Assam 2024.

The policy will bridge the demand-supply gap in the state's poultry products, thereby reducing dependency on imports and ensuring a stable, affordable supply for the people of Assam. The interventions include facilitating access to finance, strengthening infrastructure development, enhancing quality standards, and promoting research and development. Total incentives proposed under the policy for the broiler/ poultry breeding segment shall be Rs 159.64 crores Capital subsidy of up to Rs 5 crores and the overall subsidy of up to Rs 10 Crore is allowed under the policy.

The cabinet approved assistance for Infrastructure Development Approval to the raising of loan amount of Rs 4546.74 crore from NABARD for projects sanctioned under NABARD Infrastructure Development Assistance for Public Works (Roads), Women.

The cabinet approved recommendations of the Empowered Committee for customized incentives under IPA 2019.
