Will raise the matter of Tapor Pullom, who went missing in 2015: Arunachal MP Tapir Gao

Gao said that he will soon write a letter to the Union Home and Defence ministers about Pullom. He went missing from Monigong border pass.

Following the safe return of Miram Taron, Member of Parliament from Arunachal Pradesh Tapir Gao said that he will raise the matter of Tapor Pullom, who went missing in 2015.

Gao said that he will soon write a letter to the Union Home and Defence ministers about Pullom. He went missing from Monigong border pass.

Gao said: "I spoke to MoS Home Nisith Pramanik on Wednesday. Soon I will formally write and raise the matter of Tapor Pullom with the central government,” said Gao.


All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) stated this matter must be taken by the state and central governments.

The Indian Army on Monday handed over Arunachal Pradesh teenager Miram Taron to his family. On January 27, Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) handed over Taron to the Indian Army. He had gone missing since January 18 while he was at the international border.

He was accorded a grand reception by the Tuting (Zido) villagers especially the women after he was handed over to his family in presence of the local leaders and Upper Siang District Additional Deputy Commissioner Starlie Jamoh.

Tapir Gao, a BJP MP from the Arunachal East Parliamentary constituency tweeted: “Shri Miram Taron, who was abducted by PLA was given a warm welcome back to Tuting (Zido) by Shri Starlie Jamoh, ADC, ZPM Shri Pema Lepsie, Panchayat leaders & public of Tuting and the Indian Army today.”

In September 2020, the Chinese PLA had kidnapped five boys from Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Subansiri district before releasing them after about a week.
