Raja Raghuvanshi murder case | Meghalaya Police brings Sonam to Patna, gets 3-day transit remand
Sonam Raghuvanshi, the woman suspected to be involved in the murder of her husband, has surrendered to the police. She is likely to be brought to Meghalaya for questioning. Sonam was taken into custody from Ghazipur district in Uttar Pradesh.

SR Marak, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Meghalaya, said three individuals have been apprehended --two from Indore (Madhya Pradesh) and one from Lalitpur (Uttar Pradesh).

"Sonam Raghuvanshi has voluntarily surrendered at the Nandganj Police Station in Ghazipur district, Uttar Pradesh, and is currently in the custody of the Uttar Pradesh Police. Necessary legal protocols are being followed for her transit and to take her formal statement," he said.


Meghalaya Police announced a significant breakthrough in the investigation into the case involving the disappearance of a couple who were on their honeymoon from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. They went missing in the East Khasi Hills district in May. Raja, a transport businessman, and Sonam had gone to Meghalaya for their honeymoon on May 20. They were last seen in Shillong's Sohrarim area on May 23.
