In the video which is doing the rounds on social media, a man appears on stage and hands over what appears to be bouquet to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra who also was seen bursting into laugher upon realizing the flowers were conspicuously absent. She also gestures to the empty wrapper, seemingly inquiring about the whereabouts of the missing flowers. Some party workers, visibly embarrassed, offer mumbled explanations, while others on the stage join in the laughter. The man then hastily departs the scene.
A BJP leader took potshots at the Congress over the incident. "Bbouquet scam. The flower disappeared from the vase.. the handle was caught. A Congressman came to Priyanka Vadra's rally in Indore, Madhya Pradesh to give a bouquet but the Congressman played a game," said in BJP leader on social media platform X while sharing a video clip of the incident.
During the Indore election rally, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra highlighted the significant increase in onion prices before Diwali. At various campaign events across the state, she vehemently criticized the policies of the Modi government, asserting that GST and demonetization had inflicted severe hardships on small traders. Speaking at a rally in Kukshi town, located in the tribal-dominated Dhar region of Madhya Pradesh, which is scheduled for Assembly polls on November 17, she condemned the economic strategies of the Narendra Modi administration, particularly its privatization of state-run enterprises.
Gandhi pointed out, "The central government's actions, such as the closure of public sector industries, have led to high unemployment. Additionally, initiatives like demonetization and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) have caused significant difficulties for the general populace, including small-scale traders, resulting in inflation."
Votes will be counted in Madhya Pradesh on December 3.
