West Bengal's govt issues major new order on toll gates closure
As per the official order, district magistrates will first identify such toll gates/drop gates that fall in their jurisdiction, after which these structure will be removed/closed and necessary steps will be taken to prevent their re-establishment.

Collection of charges, fees or any levies at such points will come to a stop right away, the order said.
The official communication further said that "authorised collection points, both legal and illegal, be compiled and submitted to the authories by May 15.

The order will come into effect immediately, it added.
