Kolkata: After withdrawing their fast-unto death protest recently, the West Bengal Junior Doctors' Front (WBJDF) hit the streets again demanding swift justice for the medic who was raped and murdered at RG Kar hospital recently. They took out a march from West Bengal Medical Council to CBI headquarters at CGO Complex on Wednesday. Another newly formed organisation, West Bengal Junior Doctors Association, backed by Trinamool Congress, also took out a protest march on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, CBI has opposed the plea by the former principal of RG Kar hospital for liquidating his fixed deposits to bear the legal expenses in the two cases against him. CBI is conducting two separate investigations against Ghosh in connection with financial irregularities at the hospital and the rape and murder of a doctor on August 9.
