West Bengal coal mine collapse: 3 bodies recovered, 2 rescued; BJP MP alleges mafia-police nexus

Paschim Bardhaman (West Bengal), Jan 13 (ANI): A coal mine collapse at a Bharat Coking Coal Ltd site in Paschim Bardhaman left three people dead and two others rescued. The incident occurred during alleged illegal rat-hole coal extraction. BJP MP Ajay Poddar claimed a coal syndicate operates in the region, alleging the involvement of mafia and local networks. Rescue operations were conducted on a war footing as authorities launched a probe.
