Court's Request for the Child's Presence
"This is a habeas corpus petition. We want to see the child. Produce the child," the bench emphasised during the hearing. Subhash’s wife’s lawyer assured the court that the child would be made available within 30 minutes.The case, which involves a custody dispute, continues to be heard by the top court.
The court was informed that the child, who had been attending school in Haryana, had dropped out and was now residing with his mother. The petition was filed by Anju Devi, who seeks custody of her four-year-old grandson.
Earlier, on January 7, the Supreme Court had denied Anju Devi's request for custody, citing that she was a "stranger to the child."
Bengaluru Techie's Suicide Case
Subhash, aged 34, was found hanging at his Bengaluru home in Munnekolalu on December 9 last year. It was reported that he left behind extensive messages blaming his wife and in-laws for his suicide.(Inputs from PTI)
